About the Role

General Description
Direct and have overall performance accountability on the operation and function of the Provider Relations department.

  • Set directives for the departments in developing and enabling implementation of new strategies, processes, and concepts to further improve company’s competitive advantage
  • Accountable for a result-oriented management overlooking and considering cross-departmental performance/results
  • Manage and develop people and resources including provision of a strong leadership presence
  • Steer the department(s) expenditure and requirements, keeping in mind its impact and utilisation on the financial budget
  • Foster organisational culture by establishing quality awareness and service orientation and obeying consistent implementation of processes such as Project Management and Change Management throughout the responsible departments
  • Lead and influence the development, implementation of policies and procedures and enable its adherence
  • Oversee all aspects of the Provider Relations including contracting, network development, network, and data management for all PRD units
  • Manage the network geographically, financially and ensure that service levels to clients are met
  • Analyse all data related to the activity to recommend and implement specific actions to improve and further develop the department in close cooperation with the CMO
  • Identify and implement key initiatives that assist organisation is reducing cost, and improving and measuring quality
  • Coordinate and assure the application of all input and output information with and from all functional areas are accurate and support interdepartmental dependencies
  • Analyse markets to determine the potential for health reinsurance, managed care business (with special consideration of provider network issues) and new provider investments
  • Develop and manage contracts that support product development and financial targets of local health care units
  • Oversee statistical and financial data, regarding the performance of the Providers (Provider Profiling) against historical trends and set budgets

About the Individual

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in network management and/or vendor relation; 7 years of which must be in management level
  • Demonstrated skills in cost/financial analysis, contract development and risk arrangement.
  • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration or any related field
  • Masters degree is a plus
  • Highly flexible and able to work under pressure
